Frederick Cary has announced the launch of a series of business courses through his new venture, IdeaPros. The courses were designed with fellow entrepreneurs with over 200 years of collective experience in various aspects of starting and scaling a business.

IdeaPros’s main offering is The Purpose-Driven Entrepreneur Course, which comes in three plans. The basic plan consists of 15 sessions, which can be taken at one’s own pace, and a slew of downloadable workbooks.
The higher-tier plans include more lessons on subjects such as product validation evaluation, identifying competitive advantage, market research, funding strategy, and more. But one thing present in all tiers is a one-on-one AMA (ask-me-anything) session with an expert, where the student is given the opportunity to flesh out his business idea with a mentor.
According to the course creators, the goal is to give budding entrepreneurs an “unfair advantage” in their markets, with insights gleaned from tech founders such as “30 under 30” inductee Anand Kulkarni and Smart Cube creator Ira Hayes, among others.
A number of businesses in industries like food and tech have been launched with mentoring from IdeaPros. These include SoundWell, a brand of waterproof sports headphones; Vault, the developer of an anti-package theft device; and WeView, an app that points users to well-maintained establishments in an area.
In September, an article from The Balance described the relationship with a business mentor as probably the “most important” step in starting a new venture. It explained that mentors can help expand one’s network to include key decision-makers and offer insights on what to do and avoid based on their experiences.
Asked what his motivations were for establishing IdeaPro, Mr. Cary said that it was borne out of the realization that none of the most successful business leaders in the world succeeded on their own.
“I’ve assembled a team that has over 200 years of entrepreneurial experience, and we’re going to use that to take your idea and turn it into a product and a business–and for you, a legacy and a lifestyle,” he said.
