SRM Institute of Science andChennai, Tamil Nadu Sep 12, 2022 (Issuewire.com) – Technology, Kattankulathur signed MoU with MIT Square London early this year and recently hosted the RAISE Centre of Excellence (CoE) focussing on Gaming Technology (GameTech) & Metaverse Technology (MetaTech) by emphasising Research, Applications, Innovation, Science & Technology, and Entrepreneurship (RAISE).
The Center of Excellence was inaugurated by the Department of Data Science and Business Systems, School of Computing, College of Engineering and Technology. Ms Bhuvaneswari Loganathan, Co-Founder & COO of MIT Square, India was invited as a chief guest to officially open the CoE. The function was presided over by Dr Revathi Venkataraman, Chair of the School of Computing. Dr Lakshmi M (HoD of DSBS), Dr Murugan A (Program Coordinator Gaming Technology), and Ms Sindhu S (CoE Coordinator) played an important role in setting up the CoE.
Ms Bhuvaneswari discussed i10 activities that MIT Square will be supporting the students and faculty members. The i10 are Innovation, Research & Disruptive Technologies, Ideas to Prototypes & Product Development, Inductive Programs & Industry Training, Internships & Talent Transformation, International Publications, I-Centric Events & CSR Activities, IP Rights & Protection, Intrapreneurship & Entrepreneurship, Institution & Industry Connects.
As part of the CoE, Dr Mithileysh Sathiyanarayanan (Founder & CEO, MIT Square, London) provided a Visiting Researcher Position to Dr Krishnaveni S (Associate Professor) at the City, University of London, UK. She will be working on an IoT-based Healthcare project.
Dr Mithileysh has promised to support students and faculty members with the Indo-Global Exchange programs, Post Doctoral Fellowships, and other innovative development programs.
