Manhattan Plant-Based French Restaurant, Authentic Vegan Dish Menu Updated

Although vegan cuisine is typically far more environmentally friendly than meat-based dishes, the head chef at Delice & Sarrasin has made a new commitment to further their low carbon footprint credentials with their new menu, which focuses on eating seasonal, local produce and wild foods. The team at Delice & Sarrasin wants to offer their diners the full richness of traditional French cuisine and serve patrons meals that are both delicious and completely ethical and sustainable.

As the US endures another summer filled with extreme climate events like wildfires and hurricanes, Delice & Sarrasin believe that every small action can make a profound difference. That’s why head chef Yvette Caron has designed a new menu for the restaurant that focuses on not only offering a fine dining plant-based experience, but on plating up truly environmentally friendly dishes.

Highlights of Caron’s new menu include their Veloute de Carotte, a unique carrot soup that is made with wild carrots, pink lentils and homemade vegan garlic butter. Also popular are their new Escargots Beurre Maitre D’hotel, which use locally cultivated oyster mushrooms.

In addition to being sustainable and vegan, most of the dishes on Delice & Sarrasin’s menu are also gluten-free, soy-free and allergen friendly.

Delice & Sarrasin is a family owned and run restaurant in Manhattan. Head Chef Yvette Caron was trained at Le Garenne, an acclaimed restaurant in the South of France. They are committed to providing exceptional quality traditional French cuisine made plant-based.

A spokesperson for the restaurant said, “Crafting our vegan dishes is a meticulous process. We start by sourcing the freshest ingredients, carefully selected for their quality and sustainability. We, then, skillfully blend these ingredients, using fresh spices to ensure that each dish not only respects your dietary choices but also delights your taste buds with rich flavors and textures.”

The restaurant is open for brunch, lunch and dinner. Interested diners are recommended to book ahead. Delice & Sarrasin is now also partnered with DoorDash for diners who want to enjoy sustainable, chef-cooked vegan meals at home.
