Explora Books to Showcase A New Beginning at Frankfurter Buchmesse 2025

Explora Books Ltd. will present J.J. Olsen’s middle-grade fantasy “A New Beginning” at Hall 5.1 D59 during Frankfurter Buchmesse, 15–19 October 2025, introducing Jenny Dewberry’s first adventure to an international audience.

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, 20th Oct 2025 – ‘A New Beginning’ introduces readers to Jenny Dewberry, a thirteen-year-old who inherits an old wooden trunk from her grandmother, Alinore Grayson. The trunk, hidden in a magical attic, reveals secrets that upend Jenny’s ordinary life and set her on a quest to restore white magic to her family. Tasked with finding four enchanted gifts, Jenny must break a generations-old spell that stripped her grandmothers of their powers. The four sisters—Alinore and her sisters Agnes, Allison and Agatha—once practised benevolent witchcraft and, when their powers were removed, left the family legacy dormant for decades. The novel follows Jenny as she discovers lineage, loyalty and the responsibilities that accompany rare abilities, while encountering comic relief, action and surprising allies.

Advance reception for the title has been positive. One Amazon review describes the book as “I found the book refreshing, extraordinarily magical and very original. It was entertaining with comedy and adventure. It kept my interest all the way through as I read it. I liked the characters and I loved the story.”

Frankfurter Buchmesse gathers publishing professionals, creative industry representatives, authors, journalists and cultural enthusiasts from around the world to network, negotiate rights and discover new titles. The fair is recognised as a defining event in the print and digital content industries and provides a global platform for publishers to reach trade and public audiences.

Attendees seeking the display may locate Explora Books Ltd. at Hall 5.1 D59 on the Messe Frankfurt grounds; hall maps and the exhibitor directory are available through the official Frankfurt Connect platform and the Buchmesse hall plan.

‘A New Beginning’ is positioned to appeal to librarians, booksellers, translators and licensing professionals seeking accessible, family-oriented fantasy with strong female protagonists. Explora Books Ltd. intends to use the trade days to engage industry partners and the public weekend to reach young readers and families.
